THE IDEA BEHIND DEWCY’S CONCEPT CAME FROM A HEARTBREAKING PHONE CALL!
BACK IN 2020 SARAH (FOUNDER), RECEIVED A CALL FROM A REALLY CLOSE FRIEND OF HERS, WHO HAD RECENTLY BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER.
“She had to change so much in her life, eliminating things from her diet, avoiding certain chemicals in her skincare. Which actually proved the most problematic for her as trying to decipher the ingredients on the back of her skincare with no brand explanation was just overwhelming, not knowing what she could and couldn’t use on her newly sensitive but long term acne prone skin. It seemed all her acne products were no longer suitable! A problem that I know so many women with sensitive skin have, not just those suffering from illness. With so many women asking ‘What product will effectively treat my skin condition without causing my sensitive skin to react?’ this very question went round and round my head and actually paved the way for the concept behind Dewcy.”

Women’s skin, throughout their lives, constantly changes. Thanks to our delightful hormones our skin requires different products at different stages of our lives. From puberty, to menopause, even pregnancy can alter our skin type, sometimes drastically. Ageing and illness can also affect our skin, meaning we require different skincare products to manage and care for it. What can make this process even harder is if you suffer from sensitive skin as well!
Dewcy is just at the beginning of launching its SKIN-TREAT products which will effectively treat skin conditions such as: acne, hyperpigmentation, rosacea etc, as well as being suitable for those suffering with additional sensitive skin. Our SKIN-PREP range includes makeup removal, cleansing and exfoliating goodies, getting your skin ready to effectively absorb your skincare products. Our SKIN-REPAIR includes our skin barrier repair balms and miracle oil both of which are are suitable for all skin types ensuring that the fundamentals of healthy and happy skin are there before introducing our hero treatment range. We only use the highest quality ingredients, taking care to make sure that everything sourced is ethical and cruelty-free. All of our packaging is designed with sustainability in mind and we do everything we can to refrain from using plastic.
Dewcy really does adopt a thoughtful approach to beauty and moving forward Sarah and the team really want to instil confidence in being comfortable in your own skin. Self love is never easy but at the heart of this brand is someone that really cares and wants to help you get there. Happy Skin, Happy You, Happy Planet is what we are hoping for!
