VEGAN’T WAIT ANY LONGER

Hello again lovelies, and to all my vegan lovelies, I’m sure you’re just as excited as I am for today, it’s November 1st and that means it’s World Vegan Day.

Veganism is a rising way of life, and it’s growing at an exponential rate, in the UK alone, in a 2021 survey showed that at least 2 million people in the UK identify as vegan, or at least willing to try it, and this number is only going to grow as time goes on. With this rise in vegan alternatives, like vegan sausage rolls, hemp clothing, and oat milk, it may be time to start thinking about what else can we change to prevent animal cruelty… might I recommended vegan skincare?

There are numerous reasons as to why someone would prefer to swap out their same old products for more environmentally conscious ones. One of the most important is… well… they’re more environmentally conscious. In a study by Oxford University  in 2016, if we all decided to go vegan, food-related emissions could be reduced by nearly 70 per cent, due to the lack of CO2 emissions and using less water means that the environment can keep herself hydrated for much longer, instead of going towards fuelling meat products.

And it’s not just the environment that benefits from using vegan products, but also your skin. Did you know that most animal-based beauty products often contain many synthetic and artificial ingredients? While they may include beneficial ingredients like uric acid and carmine, they tend to clog pores, meaning skin breakouts are more common. So due to vegan products being made from natural plant based ingredients, they include a lot more nutrients and additives that help to nourish your skin, making vegan skincare products the ultimate solution to people with sensitive skin.

Possibly the famous reason for why decide to go vegan, (and for good reason, might I add) is that vegan products reduces the amount of animal testing and cruelty to an absolutely ridiculous degree. Switching to vegan friendly products or flat out vegan alternatives, millions of animals are saved from being killed or tested on inhumanely.

And if you haven’t guessed by now, but for those who may not know, we here at DEWCY put nothing but the strongest efforts into making sure all our products are 100% cruelty free with no animal testing. And because of our initiative for waterless environmentally sustainable beauty balms, all our products include natural based ingredients, making our products completely vegan.

And if anyone wants to make the jump to more vegan based products, I can’t recommend our shop enough.

Catch you later guys,

Alex xoxo
